So we left to fix it.

We met building on Shopify's platform in Ottawa — two engineers, deep in the same stack, day after day.

And day after day we saw store owners stuck with apps that were slow, clunky, or quietly skimming a cut of every sale. We knew it didn't have to be that way, because we knew exactly how good these apps could be.

So we quit, and started Ecom Simple Apps. Just the two of us, building a small set of apps we're genuinely proud of — the way we'd want them built for our own store.
